Impotent Theology

Dispensational theology has had a major impact on the church and its mission. If one believes the future of the church has already been determined by one's fatalistic interpretation of eschatology in the book of Revelation, one will not seek to change the surrounding culture. This undermines the Great Commission in which we are commanded by Jesus to disciple the nations of the world with God's biblical revelation. This helps explain why the Gospel has been so impotent in America where there is almost a church on every block in our cities. Americans have more access to the Bible than any nation on earth and yet the Gospel has had little impact on the culture in our nation.  Dispensational theology has had a major impact on our nation by helping to make the Gospel message impotent and undermining the Great Commission given by Jesus to his church.
