Culture War

Culture can be defined as what the people worship within a given society or people group. It is all the manifestations of life including the worldview beliefs, values and institutions of a population that are passed down from generation to generation. Culture has been called "the way of life for an entire society." As such, it includes that society's laws, codes of manners and conduct, dress, language, religion, rituals, and arts. Currently there is a culture war occurring globally. The nightly news is a manifestation of the clash of the cultural values of the nations battling for priority of their own cultural values to reign supreme. Often when open warfare is evaluated with see a direct clash occurring between the values of one culture with that of another.

It is important that we understand the nature and strategies that have been used throughout history with regard to how culture wars are waged. Knowledge of how cultural leaders wage war can be a very valuable understanding for cultural leaders to have since this knowledge can give them an understanding of how they are being attacked by leaders from a foreign culture.
